To help you along the way we've built a ton of safety features like extensive profiles for each user, display reviews and user ratings and references and you can communicate through comments with the providers and requesters alike.
- When you're connecting with someone on Goferly the first time, remember to always check their background check verification banner, other user provided reviews and the stars they have on their profile and references of the person you assign to complete your chore.
- Once you've chosen a Provider to complete your chore, you may need to share more information or discuss private messages however you should try to communicate through the Goferly private messaging - that way, if anything needs to be sorted in the interest of trust and safety, it's all there in writing and we can take up the cause on your behalf for any foul play.
- Remember, any communication outside of the Goferly Platform is not our responsibility. So make sure you use Goferly.com from Start - Finish of your chore to ensure we have your back at all times!
- It's important for safety not to disclose your personal info like your full name, address or phone number when you post a chore or comment on the first message which goes out to all providers signed up to receive your chore in their inbox.
- Ask for more profile pictures if you want to check the authenticity of a user you're about to work with.
- Don't be shy to ask your Gofer to show his /her driver's license or any other form of ID before commencing the chore. If you are getting a trade related chore done, ask for a trade license ID or proper permits / insurance before you assign the job.
- In addition to that you should always try to meet in a public place, like a busy street, a coffee shop or outside your house when meeting prior to the chore. Then, feel free to ask the Gofer for any identification and make sure it matches the details you've seen on their Goferly profile.
- Try to be as specific as possible when you communicate with Gofers about your chore. This helps to make sure both parties are always on the same page. Don't be afraid to ask the Goferly if they have the experience to do your chore. It's your money and you have the right to correspond as many times with the provider to get satisfactory responses.
- Don't pay the Goferly for your chore until it has been completed and you are satisfied. If you are ever in a situation where you are not satisfied with the job, try to work with the Provider to sort it out first, but if you need to take further action, you can always contact us.
- Always use the secure Goferly.com Platform to pay via PayPal. Ensure you are in agreement with the final price of the project as quoted by the provider.
- Include any Tips, out of pocket expenses, material cost etc. in the Total cost of the project before assigning the chore to the provider, and pay this in full through the secure PayPal channel. This will avoid any haggling, discrepancies and disputes in the future.
- If you ever feel uncomfortable with another user at any stage in the process, you should let us know. If at any time you feel in danger you should always call emergency 911.
- Please be free to e-mail us at admin@goferly.com, if you come across any type of harassment, undue suffering or harm by any of the users and we will look into this immediately
